A VISIT TO THE SPORTS CAR FACTORY

These recently unearthed photos show some highlights of a visit by members of the TARC Heritage Group to the Sports Car Factory in Hallville, Ontario.

The Sports Car Factory is a first-class restoration shop operated by John Pritchard and his sons Mark and Steve. John showed us around his unique establishment, where in addition to several Jaguars, Triumphs, etc. undergoing expert restoration, we saw John's impressive stock of used British car parts.

The main purpose of our visit was to examine and retrieve some much-needed parts from the old Rovers in the yard behind the shop, to which John very kindly gave us access.

Heritage Group members Bill Osmond, Jeff Hladun, Piers Hemmingsen, and Bill Daddis, with Jeff's P5B and Bill D.'s "90", ready to depart.

Piers: "I think I'll take this one (a P3) home."

Donna Newman: "Sorry, Piers, I saw it first!"

This P5 3-litre was once someone's pride and joy.

Bill Osmond removes a headlamp wiring junction block from a 105R.

Bill Daddis: "If we prop it up on these tyres, we can get the tie rods off..."

Many thanks indeed to John Pritchard of the Sports Car Factory for making our expedition a success. By the way, the Sports Car Factory has a fine web site at www.hallville.com. Both the site and the shop are well worth a visit!
